The importance of sociology is quite evident in the present chaotic world. It is growing popular day by day among human beings as it helps them to accelerate their living standards. Sociology, as a study, explains the conditions of life and teaches the social phenomena. Sociology provides general laws of society. Sociology as a profession is becoming popular in different nations of the world. Sociologists are employed in different sectors such as education, health, trade, industrial, and so on. In the field of research, sociology has marked its presence. Many developing countries of the world are still facing different social issues that disrupt their growth. Problems such as illiteracy, unemployment, pollution, traffic congestion, increased crime rate, poverty, maladjustment in families, divorce, suicide, drug-addiction, apportion, etc are common among different developing as well as developed countries of the world. These problems cannot be solves by means of physic or chemistry, for resolving such issues, any society needs social sciences.
These problems need research planning and solution in the light of sociological knowledge. Our world is gradually heading towards mass urbanizations; as a result of this, more social problems will emerge. Therefore, the attention of sociologists is seriously required so that such problems can be overcome. Increase in social problems also accelerates the demand of sociologists in most of the advancing nations of the world.
