The author’s emphasis was on the conflict between whites and black property owners where the determination of the former was aimed at bringing the population of African Americans to a halt and avoid letting them have proper living rights. It marked the more aggressive policies in the suburban area by local government and burgeoning racial discrimination not just for property owners but also the working individuals. The rights of suburban living to Caucasian living only in post war era had become the determination of White Americans where blue collared African Americans were slightly better off than the rest of their community.
The write up blends well into the conflict paradigm where forceful rights were practiced in terms of living standards limited to one sect of the society only to the extent that inequalities prevailing made a mark in history in terms of negative conflicts and racism and SES (socioeconomic status) became implied as per pre conceived notions and skin color.
