A key factor that again negatively affects the case of pluralism as far as the Koran is concerned, is the Koran’s statements that it is the final book and that Islam is the religion that God has chosen and perfected for his people. As the Koran clearly states.
“This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” (Surah 5. The Table, The Table Spread-Verse 3 Islam101.com)
This aspect of the Koran makes pluralism a very hard pill to swallow even as far as Judaism and Christianity are concerned, which are religions that the Koran admits are closely linked to Islam. This implies or most Muslim’s at least interpret it as such that salvation is due only to those who follow Islam, because only through Islam can individuals achieve the salvation and comfort they seek.
