Education plays an important role in building up the character of a person. Education is a necessity for the betterment of the life of the individual and the betterment of the nation. Female education is often debated in many under developing countries. Many of these countries have not yet granted their women the permission to acquire education. When a woman is deprived of education it not only affects her life, it also affects her family and to the whole nation.

Female education plays an important part for the family as well as for the nation. If a nation wants to develop then it must educate its women. Women are considered as a weaker gender, therefore, in many under-developed countries, they are not allowed to attain education because it will be simply the waste of recourses and time. The world has witnessed that women are not weaker than men in any aspect. History has reported many influential women who changed the picture of the world. This shows that if a woman is provided with the power and education she can make wonders. Women have enough fortitude that they could walk beside men. The woman is no longer a weaker gender who must follow man. With the power of knowledge, she needs not to follow any man. She can achieve anything she wants by the means of her education.

Brigham Young has rightly said, “When you educate a man you educate a man. When you educate a woman you educate a generation.”  Mother is the first teacher of every child, he learns valuable morals and virtues from the lap of the mother.  Therefore, if a mother is uneducated, she would not be able to transfer the education onto her offspring. However, educated women can perfectly shape up the personalities of their children by imbuing in them the quality education which they had acquired. An ignorant woman cannot provide her children a healthy environment where they could learn good values. An uneducated woman cannot even know the importance of the education; therefore, she will be reluctant to educate her children as well.

An educated woman can contribute significantly to the betterment of the family, society, and the nation. She can play her part effectively and dedicatedly. I would disagree with Shakespeare’s statement in which he said, “frailty thy name is woman”. Women are as strong as men are; they just need the opportunity to learn and to be educated equally as men, then there would not be anything that women cannot achieve with their hard work, courage, and education.
