These cars extend the functionality of traditional internal combustion engines by combining them with a battery-powered electric motor that takes some work off from the diesel or petrol engines. In simple words, hybrid car is the one that uses more than one means of power. The main advantage of these types of cars are that it uses less fuel and emits less CO2 than most conventional vehicles used everywhere in the world. Hybrid engines work smartly for example, at low speeds, the engine turned off and the car is driven only by electric motor, when maximum acceleration required, both work together. Many big companies like BMW, Audi, Citroen, Land Rover, Lexus, Mercedez-Benz, Peugeot, Volkswagen and Porche using this technology these days and keep on working to improve this technology to get the maximum output by using extra storage and quick charged batteries. Toyota is the first company that introduced this technology in cars by launching its first Hybrid car known as Toyota Prius. It was a misconception at first place among the people that, by using this technology they cannot reach the same level of power and comfort as they get these from any conventional car. But surprisingly, Hybrid technology not even reached the same level it introduced some extra ordinary features like high amount of fuel savings, environmental friendly which means no pollution at all and almost a very noise free car compare to others.
This technology proved itself that it would be a future car which will be high in demand as everyone wants to save on fuel, play their part to keep the environment clean and of course to get comfort and luxury with style.
