As far as social guidance goes the Quran asks its followers

‘Give full measure when ye measure, and weigh with a balance that is straight: that is the most fitting and the most advantageous in the final determination.’ (17:35)

‘And render to the kindred their due rights, as (also) to those in want, and to the wayfarer: But squander not (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift’ (Al Isrâ’ Surah 17)

These verses from  Sura 17 indicate clearly that the Quran was designed to meet the needs of the people and to provide them guidance in all matters that they needed. Therefore we can say that the Quran’s importance lies in its thoroughness and understanding of the human nature. It recognizes evil, hypocrisy and stubbornness in man while at the same time pointing out the need for sympathy and kindness for others.
