Some of the narrative elements used by the author are dialogue, which is between the little girl and the wolf. Later the wolf pretends to be the girl’s grandmother before he eats her up. Repetition is also used when the author is referring to the cake and a pot of butter.

This is to show that the girl knows all that she wants to do is to deliver these goods to her grandmother. At the last paragraph, the word child is used repeatedly as the wolf tries to convince the little girl that the wolf is her grandmother.

The cunning wolf is able to take advantage of the innocence, ignorance as well as naivety that are exhibited by the little girl and her grandmother to its selfish needs. If the women had been more careful then it would have been difficult for the wolf to accomplish its missions.
