The youth in the Middle East as grown up in a highly privileged environment with no worries when it comes to money, or source of funding. This combined by the great impression that they have from the western society and way of life is reflected in the choice if clothes they seek to wear, the purchases they make and the lifestyle that they are adopting in order to bridge the culture gap between their middle eastern origin and those of the western society. This is contributing greatly to the loss of their heritage, values and culture, their traditions and ultimately their national identity. The increased spending on fashion, clothes, jewelry, household items, automobiles, property, luxury goods etc has become a way of life for the Middle Eastern society. The increased consumption is leading to the degradation of their cultural values, and affecting their national identity by making them loose the characteristics that define their unique identity.
