A recent study revealed that 45% of Canadians living inAlbertabelieve that no more immigrants should be taken in. Education will help immigrants integrate better into Canadian community.

There has appeared a concept as being pure black or the general identity that has made the general identity a bit more edgy. For example, Republican Senate candidate, Alan Keyes has claimed that since he is the real descendant of slaves in America, he happens to be the pure black breed as opposed to his Democratic opponent, Barack Obama, whose father was an African but mother was still a white. Similarly, much of progress was witnessed soon after slavery was abolished though it took decades to become acceptable.

At the same time there is no guarantee that a shared culture would produce homogenous individuals.

Other individuals point out to the increase in binge drinking specially on college campuses in which students are engaging in consumption of hard liquor in unsupervised conditions. They use this observation to point out that 19, 20 year olds cannot handle alcohol, they are simply not responsible enough. However some experts give some reasons why  not lowering the drinking age may have worsened the situation. For example according to Professor Engs from Indiana University who has carried out considerable research on this issue, in communities all over the world such as Chinese, Greek and Italian, the drinking age is lower teenagers manage alcohol a lot better, because they are exposed to it at home and it is simply not considered a big deal.
