Panama Canalis a waterway connecting the Atlanticand Pacific oceans across the Isthmus of Panama. This Canal was finally constructed in the early twentieth century but, the idea was conceived way back in the early 16th century. It was in 1524, when the advisers of Charles V suggested the idea of cutting out a piece of land through the isthmus in order speed up trade and transport. At that point in history, Spanish traders bringing gold fromPeru,Ecuador andAsia had to take long and tortuous routes through the oceans. The idea of building a canal was very exciting for them. However, this was also a time whenEurope was embroiled in wars, hence the idea never materialized and the project was kept aside.

Psychophysiological tests measure physiological responses such as increases in heart rate, blood pressure, temperature as suggestive of psychological problems. The downside to this sort of test is that it usually requires expensive equipment which needs consistent maintenance. The test results also show reduced validity and reliability as the situation may cause participant anxiety which will change physical responses. Also physiological responses show changes they are measured repeatedly in a single session.

The structure of the corporation and the way it imposes is control is infinitely more complex then how the factory imposed discipline simply because it implies a flexibility which actually does not exist and in fact the workers of these corporations are as tied down as their ancestors were tied down y the discipline of the factories.

The debate over whether to lower the drinking age, has become a controversial issue, with both sides offering reasons and researches to support their viewpoint. The debate was again sparked of again when Jessica Bush the president’s daughter who is around 19, was caught drinking and using fake identification to buy alcohol. The debate is going on in a number of states, with some states with already formulated legislation for lowering the drinking age which needs to be passed. Examples of where such legislations have been passed are Dakota,VermontandMinnesota. However there are federal laws which will definitely discourage states to lower the drinking age. One such law designed to discourage legalizing underage drinking, is that if any state approves such a legislation, 10% of its appropriations on the highway will be taken away as penalty.

This has become worse when a financial crisis forced the government to bail out many major financial institutions and collect fewer tax revenues over all.
